1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Afterblast LLC ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses your information when you use the FloodMaps website and related services (the "Service"). This Policy is incorporated into and subject to our Terms of Service. By using the Service, you consent to the data practices described in this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information necessary to provide you with property flood risk reports and manage your purchases.

Information You Provide Directly:

  • Property Data: To generate a report, you must input a specific property address or coordinates.
  • Account & Contact Data: If you create an account, contact support, or interact with FloodMaps by text message, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and communication history.
  • Payment Information: When you purchase a Premium Report or Unlimited package, your payment details are collected directly by our secure, third-party payment processor (e.g., Stripe). Afterblast LLC does not collect, process, or store your full credit card number or bank account details on our servers.

Information Collected Automatically:

  • Usage Data: We automatically collect standard information regarding your interaction with the Service, such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, pages visited, and the dates/times of your visits.
  • Cookies & Tracking: We use standard cookies and similar technologies to maintain user sessions, analyze site traffic, and improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following business purposes:

  • To generate and deliver the requested property flood risk reports.
  • To process your payments and prevent fraudulent transactions.
  • To manage your account and (in the future) handle recurring subscriptions.
  • To communicate with you regarding your purchases, technical issues, or policy updates.
  • To send and receive transactional text messages related to your FloodMaps requests, account access, or requested property summaries.
  • To analyze system performance and improve our automated analysis and reporting algorithms.

4. How We Share Your Information

We fiercely protect your data and do not sell your personal information to third parties. Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: We share necessary data with trusted third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processors, hosting providers, messaging providers, and third-party API services (e.g., mapping or weather data feeds) required to generate the reports and fulfill requested communications.
  • Platforms and Applications You Connect: If you choose to reach FloodMaps through a third-party application, platform, digital assistant, or similar integration, we exchange information with that provider as necessary to fulfill your request. See Section 7 below.
  • Legal Compliance: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, in response to a subpoena or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Afterblast LLC, our users, or the public.
  • Business Transfers: If Afterblast LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction.

5. Data Security

We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security, and you use the Service at your own risk.

6. Property Address Queries

Please note that the property addresses you query are used strictly to generate the requested reports and monitor system performance. We do not publish a public log of addresses searched by our users.

7. Third-Party Applications, Assistants, and Integrations

FloodMaps can be reached through third-party applications, platforms, digital assistants, and similar integrations that connect to our programmatic interfaces on your behalf. This section applies whenever you choose to use FloodMaps in that way.

What Is Exchanged

When you make a request through a connected application, that application sends us the information needed to answer it, typically the property address or location you asked about, together with an identifier that lets us apply usage limits and associate any purchases with you. We return the requested flood risk information to that application, which then presents it to you. We ask connected applications to send identifiers that do not, by themselves, identify you personally.

The Provider's Own Practices

Information you provide to a connected application, and information we return to it, is also handled by that provider under its own privacy policy and terms, which we do not control. Before connecting FloodMaps to any third-party application or assistant, review that provider's policies. You can stop the exchange at any time by disconnecting FloodMaps within that application.

Records We Keep

We retain operational records of programmatic requests, including the endpoint called, the identifier supplied, timing, and outcome. These records are used to enforce usage limits, prevent abuse, bill correctly, diagnose faults, and meet our legal obligations. They are not used to build advertising or marketing profiles, and we do not sell them.

Purchases Made Through a Connected Application

If you purchase a report through a connected application, payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, which collects your payment details and email address directly. We use that email address to create or locate a FloodMaps account so your purchase remains accessible to you, and we may send you transactional messages about it.

8. SMS Communications

If you use FloodMaps SMS features, message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan. We use your mobile number and message content only to provide the requested service, support account-related communications, maintain system logs, and prevent abuse. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any other FloodMaps product or service.

9. Children's Privacy

FloodMaps is a business-to-consumer and business-to-business service not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this Policy and posting the new version on our website.
